Alco Spiney-Wirelastic Gaskets and Rolls

Alco Spiney Wirelastic is an alternate gasket that is an EMI shield or an environmental pressure seal. Two types, filled or unfilled, are supplied in thicknesses of .02” and .03”. Both have uniformly expanded monel or aluminum with multiple contacts per square inch, creating the EMI integrity. Silicone works in combination with the expanded monel or aluminum to allow compressibility. Alco-Spiney-Wirelastic is suitable for applications where joint unevenness is less than .003” and where material thickness is a consideration. Alco-Spiney-Wirelastic is supplied in die cut gaskets, rolls and sheets.

Filled
Uniformly expanded monel and aluminum is impregnated with high grade silicone for excellent compressibility, creating both and EMI shield and environmental pressure seal.

Unfilled
The unfilled type of uniformly expanded monel or aluminum works solely as an EMI gasket.

Silicone Solid per A-A-59588 4° C to 260° [ -65° F to 500° F ]
Expanded Aluminum per AMS-4182 / 5056 .020 and .030 thickness
